Rayleigh's a proper old Essex town that grew sideways. You've got the Norman Rayleigh Mount and the 1809 windmill at the top of the High Street, Edwardian villas through the centre, then 1930s semis stretching along London Road and Eastwood Road, and post-war and modern estates spreading out from there. SS6 is mostly family homes with mature gardens — commuter belt, property-proud.
The big local cleaning issue is the trees. The older roads (London Road, Hockley Road, Crown Hill) are heavily lined with mature lime, sycamore and oak — which means tree sap on windows every spring, blossom in the gutters in May, leaves blocking the downpipes in autumn. Most Rayleigh regulars settle on a monthly window service and an annual gutter clear with the SkyVac (vacuums everything down from the ground — with a camera-tipped pole on the patio).
We're about 22 miles south-east of our Chelmsford base, half an hour down the A130. No call-out charge, no deposit. Quote in writing, you pay only when the job's finished and you've checked it.

If you've got mature trees overhanging the roof (most of older Rayleigh does), you really can't stop the leaves — what works is a proper annual SkyVac clear, ideally late November once the trees have dropped. We can also fit guards on top, but honestly the guards still need cleaning — an annual vac usually works out cheaper than guards plus maintenance.
Most new Rayleigh bookings are on site inside a week. Urgent jobs (blocked gutter overflowing, roof needing winter treatment, conservatory leak) we'll usually get to in the same week.
