Pressure washing roofs blasts the protective glaze off the tiles, breaks ridge mortar, and forces water under the tiles into your loft. Tiles age fast after pressure washing. Our system is the opposite: low-pressure clean first, then a gutter clearance to remove anything that came off the roof, then a professional biocide chemical treatment that kills the moss biologically, not mechanically. Slower, but safer and longer-lasting.
Heavy moss is scraped off the same day. The biocide then continues working for 4–12 weeks — the remaining moss browns off and falls away with rain and wind. After a couple of months your roof looks visibly cleaner and stays that way.
It kills what's there at the root. Spores will blow in over time, but a properly treated roof stays largely moss-free for 4–6 years. Add a clear sealant on top and you're looking at 8–10 years before it needs revisiting.
Most pitched residential roofs we can access safely from ladders or roof ladders with our harness setup. Steeper roofs or commercial jobs sometimes need scaffolding — if so, we quote that separately and you decide before booking.
